The young Pianist Hyelim Kim, Prizewinner of the Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey, Hastings International Piano Competition and Annarosa Taddei International Competition, among others, dazzles the Public with her an impressive sound (Bachtrack, 2019) and perfect piano technique (Westdeutsche Zeitung, 2018)
Since marking her orchestral debut with Romania-Bacau Orchestra only at the age of 10, Hyelim has been working with numerous Orchestras, including Royal Pilharmonic Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, Zermatt Festival Orchestra, Orchestre de Picardi, Kölner Orchestergesellschaft and Chuncheon youth Symphony Orchestra, with Conductors such as Christian Zacharias, Arie van Beek, Rory Macdonald, Rüdiger Bohn.
She has performed in Korea, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and across Germany at prestigious venues, including Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Stadthalle Wuppertal, Flagey Brussels, TivoliVredenburg Utrecht. She gave successfully her Debut-Recital at Festival Piano Folies du Touquet and Festival Saint Riquier and has been also a featured soloist on the “Bechstein Young Professionals”, “WDR 3 Campus Concert” series. In the upcoming Season 24/25 she will be giving Concerts mainly in Germany, including Concert at Kölner Philharmonie mit Gürzenich-Orchester, Solo Recital at Cité de la musique Soissons, Musée des Beaux-Arts Rouen.
Born in Suwon, South Korea, Hyelim started learning Piano at five. After winning numerous Competitions in her Countury, she went to Germany to study with Georg Friedrich Schenck, when she was 17 years old. Since 2023 She is pursuing her “Konzertexamen”, studying with Claudio Martinez Mehner and Nina Tichman at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln, where she also earned her Master’s Degree before. She was a scholarship holder of Clavarte Foundation in Bern in 2023.
